This Frontier® Himalayan Pink Salt is a course-grind, pure, hand-mined salt found deep inside the pristine Himalayan Mountains. The high mineral content of Himalayan salt crystals contributes to their color, ranging from deep reds to beautiful pinks. Himalayan pink salt can be used either during cooking or as a finishing salt. Works well in a grinder bottle or can be crushed to finer consistency with a mortar and pestle. It is delicious when used with chicken, red meat, fish, brines and sauces.
HAND-MINED IN THE HIMALAYAS – Frontier Co-op Himalayan Pink Salt is a type of rock salt (halite) that's sourced directly from the Himalayan mountains in Pakistan. The hand-mined salt crystals range from red to pink in color.
PERFECT FOR DIRECT COOKING – Our pink salt is sized to suit many direct cooking needs. It is ground to the point that it can be placed directly on your poultry, meat, and fish. The high mineral content in the pink salt makes it highly flavorful.
TASTY WITH TENDER MEAT – The pink salt is best used with tender meats such as chicken, lean pork, lean beef, and turkey. It can also be used with fish. In addition, to use with meats, pink salt can be mixed in sauces, brines, and marinades.
SOURCED FROM PAKISTAN – No chemicals or harmful sprays are used on this product. This pink salt is extracted directly from the mountains of Pakistan and can be used as-is. The only processing involves breaking the pieces into smaller sizes.
